Hello the Fire ~

Been watching the "build" thread of an underhammer over on the Big Forum - looks sweet as it comes together, and since I'll never get near to a custom-made, I'm thinking about jumpin' in on this 'un:

What little I can find on the 'Net says they're of decent quality; anyone have experience of the Numrich 'buggy gun'?

I've owned a couple of them and have an earlier version at the present time. In my experence they are good shooting and almost foolproof little rifles. One thing though, the one you're thinking of was'nt originally a buggy rifle, it was an Offhand Deluxe. The barrel appears to have been cut down, and the gun has been restocked. Looks like it still has the Numrich barrel which means it will likely require a .433 ball as the Numrich barrels were actually .44 rather then .45. Good luck,

Well, shoot; cut-down, eh? And a .433 ball! Any info about who actually made them? Beautiful wood on the re-stock, anyhow.

I'll keep an eye on it - see a bid's been placed, but that auction has a long time to run.

It was made by Numrich but whoever owned it restocked it and it looks like he also shortend the barrel. This does'nt mean that the gun is no good, just that it is'nt box stock. If the barrel was recrowned properly it could be an excellent shooter. And, like you said, the stock wood is very beautifull. If you trust the seller it might be well worth the asking price. You just can never be certain until it's in your hands.

It might be worth a whirl if the price stays right - the little I've read seems to say that these usually go for under $300 or thereabouts...
